When you run Digital Media Recovery Software, a wizard screen will open and present you a list of drives, select the drive from which you need to recover data and press next button.

Step 2—Select the File Type to Recover
The wizard screen gives you a choice to select the “File Types” that you are trying to recover. Select an individual file type; also you may select all files by pressing “Select All button” and press the “Next” button to continue.

Note: The number of file types selected will directly impact the speed of the scan.
Step 3—Run the Scan
When the “Next” button is pressed the scanning is commenced. Scanning might take several seconds to few hours. Estimated scan time depends on selected media (size, speed and physical condition of storage media. At any instance you can press “Stop” button to stop the scan.

Step 4— Result Screen
In the results screen, files found will be sorted by file type selections that you have made.
